I will thank all the helpers etc and give a full report on yesterday's Beacon Roads Cotswold Audax events soon. But in the meantime a special mention must be made of Beacons own Laurence Cooley's special contribution.
Laurence helped out at HQ before the start, then rode the last ride to start, the anti clockwise Outing. He covered the 108 km in 4 hrs 19 mins which is the minimum time allowed in the Audax. He was third back to HQ, two riders on the earlier Clockwise Audax beating him by 3 mins. So he rode the route 27 minutes faster than them and had he arrived any earlier he would have not been able to get his stamp anyway.
After this effort Laurence then gave a hand for the start of the afternoon.
Chapeau.
Laurence Cooley in Yellow
