Free food at the Sunrise and Snowdrop Express.......

Post by Philip Whiteman » 04 Jan 2017 15:34

HELP REQUIRED....

We are currently looking for helpers to support the Sunrise and Snowdrop Express audax on Saturday 25th February. It would be useful to have:

- an extra marshals at Whitlenge (7.45-9am)
- a marshal in Hartlebury (7.45-9am)
- one extra person to help registering riders (7.45-9am)
- one extra person to help with validating return riders (2pm-4.45pm)

So far, helpers include Oscar (tbc), Charlie Skinner as marshals at Whitlenge; Mark Rigby at Upton Control and John Hitchcock at Evesham Control.

If you are not riding and would like to provide some support then please let me know. As with every helper, free food is provided at GHQ.

EDIT - Alistair Hey has taken the registering riders slot.

Dave, many thanks for you offer and will gladly accept. Bring a HV and a swagger stick to beat errant participants who park their cars in the wrong place. I could do with somebody located on Station Road, Hartlebury to police overflow participants from parking inconsiderately. Last year this worked wonders and removed any frictions with local residents and businesses. Free breakfast before/afterwards of course. Timing will probably be 7.50-8.55.

To date helpers are:

Helen, Oscar and Charles - Parking at GHQ

Dave Cole - Hartlebury Station Road. Parking enforcement and executions.

Alistair Hey - Registrations AM

John Hitchcock - Evesham Control

Mark Rigby (AUK) - Upton Control

Bob Scarle (AUK) - Validation of returning riders PM

I'm riding the snowdrop, but could come early and help with parking at ghq if that works?
If you’re all about the destination, take a f#€king flight!

Many thanks Helen. The car park is full by the time the Snowdrop is ready to start. So your offer will work fine.

Probably 7.45-8.45. I may also ask you to marshal riders out of Whitlenge Lane onto the main road at 8.30-8.35. So you will need to cycle up to the junction.
