Club Run 1/10/17

Post by Andy McGrath » 26 Sep 2017 12:57

Hi
I'm new to Beacon and would like to join the next club run this coming Sunday if possible (weather permitting). Is it compulsory to have mudguards fitted? I could be at a disadvantage if this is the case and won't have chance to fit any before Sunday. Any info/comment/help appreciated, thanks.

Hi Andy,

no need for mudguards yet, they're not compulsory on any ride, but they are a help to you and others when the weather gets wetter and the roads muddier.

All details of club runs are in the 'club runs' thread a few items down from this message board category...there are generally 3 runs, the A-run around 17-19mph, B-run around 15mph and the C-run around 12-14mph, and the first Sunday each month sees an intro ride, which a shorter ride than normal (around 30-40miles) at a more leisurely pace, so there is an intro ride this coming sunday

You'll be very welcome to come along, just turn up around 9am on Sunday morning at the Black Horse car park in Northfield, and you'll see us congregating ready for the off at 09:15...just ask anybody there for the most appropriate ride for you and it will be quickly sorted out...if doesn't cost anything, ride for free, but bring some money for a coffee/cake/bacon sandwich at the café stop....

Phil
