New Beacon RCC Club Chairperson

New Chairperson
The Beacon RCC needs a new chairperson to lead the club and to chair committee meetings.
The main duties of the Chairperson are to:
• provide managerial direction for the club.
• act as first officer within the club, and make decisions whenever the need arises in consultation with other officers when appropriate
• chair six committee meetings and one Annual General Meeting per year.
• determine the content and agenda for club meetings in consultation with the Secretary and President.
Although there is some overlap of roles, the duties of the Chairperson are distinct from those of the President, in that the President is someone who can offer guidance and advice to members on club matters and who promotes and represents the club at cycling events. The President also has a much greater role in organising the Annual Dinner and Prize Presentation and in the awarding of trophies.
