LMTT 2019

Post by Philip Whiteman » 07 Apr 2019 16:00

I may have only been marshalling along with an army of other volunteers but it was a great day out. The final climb was really appreciated by the riders, some of whom danced-for-joy at the finish line. Perhaps the last point was a little lie.

It was also good to meet faces old and new.

Thanks to James T for organising along with the heavies, John H and Chris H for recruitment.

I sincerely hope that we can use this venue again next year.

Echo that, best TT in the country, huge thanks to everyone for making it happen, showcasing Beacon and putting on again one of the most historic races around

Yes, this is a great Beacon event. Big thanks to James Tate for taking on the organising, supported by Chris H. and John H., and Dave H as master of ceremonies of course. As a club, we stand or fall by the coming forward and resilience of volunteers prepared to step into responsibility, so well done James for taking it on. Thanks to all the marshals and timekeepers, and I even enjoyed marshalling, despite being ranted at by an irate tractor driver....and big kudos to all that rode, it's a horrible course, full of pain, just as cyclists like it, eh?
