As far as l know if you can ride a bike, then you are in. But let me ask the question. What ages are we talking Tim?

We have 9 booked on the intermediate and 8 on the beginners/novice sessions, but still need a few more really.

11 Alan. I've asked company before and they said no lower age for beginners session. He's ridden at Derby a couple of times and is coached track at Halesowen with adults. Not sure can make anyway at moment but hope to book one. If it's for 9 and overs then we should be promoting with all members, Academy parents won't see here or the Facebook group. There's 4 or 5 members aged 10-12 who've ridden Derby. Thanks for organising again

Hi Stu

Sorry for the delay, for some unknown reason I was locked out of the message board?

But yes, the more the merrier to be honest

Rather dissappointingly but not one single person from Beacon on last night's track session

Such a shame they're great sessions.
Is a session planned for December?

Sunday 1st December 3pm to 6pm, but it seems pretty pointless trying to promote it to be honest

Hi Alan,

I've not been able to make one of these so far (despite my desire to), but one similar has popped up on the 15th if you're interested.

Gav and I have signed up for it.

Hi - I'd like to come to the session on the 1st December with George (my 13 year old). We both have track bikes and have ridden at Halesowen. Do we just turn up at Newport with gear? Let me know how / if i need to confirm or do anything beforehand?

Thanks for organising this.

You need to book on the session via the PDQ Coaching website - www.pdqcyclecoaching.co.uk

Then simply create an account which will then give you access to the calender.

Select the correct date and time of the event and also which category (group) you want to ride in based on your track experience. Book and pay on line, thats it, job done!

Simple as that really, anyone else?

This Sundays track sessions are both fully booked with riders from other clubs now, so unless you have pre booked via the PDQ Coaching website please DO NOT just turn up and expect to ride.

To be fair you might just strike lucky, on the other hand you might not and its a long way to go to chance it

Is anybody going this Sunday to the 11-2 session?

It was originally my plan to go but that's just been scuppered by the sudden need to go down to Bath on Sunday to sort my lads accommodation out ready for January.

Given my recent discovery of DVT I'm not to sure if I shall be going to this session or not. Yes I know that I'm still riding my bike but when I was first diagnosed the GP did say that it was okay, but I do keep a careful eye on my heart rate.
However, at my last appointment up on Friday she has since told me to stop for a couple of weeks at least. I think that she was less than impressed at the 70 mile ride I did before my GPs appointment.

My fear with the track is that its not a controlled environment for me and it will probably result in me pushing my HR much higher than is healthy for me. So if I do go, it will only be to bimble around the black line, assuming that Jason is okay with that?

Do we have anymore interest?

Hope you recover soon Alan,
I'll be there on the 2nd Feb and will be bimbling around at the back as always. _Q
