IMPORTANT - Committee Vacancies for 2020

Post by WorcsPhil » 22 Oct 2019 16:43

Hi all,

In advance of the Beacon RCC AGM in mid-December (details will be published in the next few weeks), we would like to publicise early that there will be four vacancies on the committee for next year, that we will hopefully fill at the AGM. These are:

Committee Secretary
Time Trials Secretary
Race Secretary
Women's Secretary

Of course all posts are up for grabs, but there will be definite vacancies for these four roles. The below provides a simple description of the tasks undertaken in these roles, so please could you review and consider whether you have the gumption to volunteer and join the Beacon Committee.

It doesn't need to be said (does it?) that for things like Time Trials or Races in particular, not having someone organising/driving this in the club might mean that these things simply do not happen next year. We can only do things/organise things if we have people to do them, they don't just magically appear for your own entertainment. Clearly, not doing these things seriously weakens us a club!

If you are considering putting yourself forward, me and/or George Barker will be happy to talk with you, but you can only be formally appointed at the AGM.

Phil/George
