Sunrise and Snowdrop Audaxes - helpers nearly complete

Post by WorcsPhil » 18 Jan 2020 16:07

The Sunrise and Snowdrop audaxes are on Saturday February 29th this year (Leap day!), and the HQ is again Whitlenge Garden Centre café, near Hartlebury.

The Snowdrop is full and is taking no more entries, but there a dozen spaces left on the Sunrise, but filling up around 1-2 entries per day, so you have less than a week to enter.... I've got a few volunteers to help on the day including Mark Rigby (Audax legend) manning the Upton control, and Dave Cole manning the Evesham control at Raphaels. I have also got help from:

- Morning registration (07:30 - 09:00): Ade Ravenscroft and Helen Jamieson
- Afternoon registering everyone back in (12noon till 16:30): Jess Rhodes-Jones
- Simon Woodward on marshalling duty at the end of the lane to ensure the first junction onto the A442 is safe.

So now, I only need one person to help Andy Wrightson on car park duty for 45mins at Whitlenge HQ (07:45 - 08:30)

We also will have all the spare Beacon kit at Whitlenge for sale at discounted prices (except the Giordana tops). The current spare kit and discounted price can be seen here, and all unsold stock will be at Whitlenge if you want to take a look and/or buy on the day

If you're up for just 30mins of car park duty, please post below

Thanks

Phil

Phil,

As you're aware, I'm a snowdrop entrant but am more than happy to help in any position you need. I'm fine seeing the suriser's and snowdropper's of before tagging on at the back.

Hi Helen,

Yes, you did...my apologies. Hopefully you can still make it...that’s great if you can. 07:45 - 9am at Whitlenge if possible...free bacon sarnie and cuppa is yours :D

Si...thanks also for volunteering - marshalling at the first corner for two 5 min spells is all yours...

Thanks both

Two weeks to go, and as long as the waters recede, we're all systems go. In terms of helpers, we have:

Evesham Control (Raphaels): Dave Cole
Upton Control (Stables): Mark Rigby

HQ Morning: Me, Helen Jamieson and Adrian Ravenscroft
HQ Car Park: Andy Wrightson
A442 Junction duties: Simon Woodward

HQ Afternoon: Jess Rhodes-Jones

Ideally, I could do with one person (on the Snowdrop!) to assist with car parking duties as Andy is on the earlier Sunrise, and potentially one afternoon person at HQ between 1-3pm to assist with controls and kit sales.

Yes, don't forget, we will have ALL the spare kit, (including bobble hats) at Whitlenge for you to look at and buy...discounted price can be seen here:
