COLD, RAIN AND SNOW JUST TO START A BEACON AUDAX

Post by Philip Whiteman » 05 Dec 2020 10:35

This morning I set off a large proportion of the 30 entrants on the Salt and Cotswolds audax. Some had to ride through snow on the Clent Hill followed by heavy rain just in order to get to the start but the day has now turned out fine and sunny.

In true X rated audax tradition, the event started from a wet cold Droitwich car park but surprisingly everyone was chipper. No warm HQ with food and hot drinks for them.

Their 212km route takes the from Droitwich to Shipston, through the Cotswolds and back.

It will also be the first calendar event to use the new E-Brevet card on a pilot basis, so it will be interesting to see how riders get on with this new app.
