CALL FOR 2022 SNOWDROP/SUNRISE VOLUNTEERS

Post by WorcsPhil » 31 Jan 2022 14:06

Yes, it's that time of the year again. I am looking for volunteers to help out at the Sunrise/Snowdrop Audaxes on the 26th February.

I know we had a call out last autumn and some of you volunteered, but it's now and not then so I am looking for the following:

2 car park volunteers (07:50-09:00) - Andy Wrightson and Neil Evanson

Morning support at HQ: (07:50 - 09:30) - John Williams, Helen Jamieson, myself and one other required
Afternoon support at HQ: (12:30-16:30) - John Williams, Neil Orchard, myself and one other would be good.

To man the control at Upton-on-Severn (Stables tea room 10:15-14:30) - Mark Rigby
To man the control at Evesham (Raphaels 10:15-14:30) - Simon Woodward plus one other would be good

If you can help out, or just to confirm that you are still ok for one of the above jobs, please post below - I particularly want one or two controllers controller at the Evesham cafe to stamp people's brevet cards and a free lunch will be provided.

Let me know

Phil

I'm happy to help out in any capacity and am available all day.
I can run the control at Raphael's if you want or wherever you think best.
Cheers
Simon

Thanks for the response all.

So, to re-cap we now just need - Neil Orchard, John Williams, Helen Jamieson, Simon Woodward all confirmed. so now we just need

- A fourth person for morning sign on 08:00-09:00 at Whitlenge

- A fourth person for afternoon sign on (13:00-16:00) at Whitlenge would be perfect

- Simon Woodward is the controller at Raphaels in Evesham, but be good if there is another person to help out as this is a busy control and if it's a nice day, we could upwards of 200 people passing through this cafe over 4 hours

All of these volunteer roles involve lots of free coffee and food!

Alan, many thanks for the offer, but I think Mark Rigby is ok with manning the Upton control as he runs a tight ship!

Please post below if you can help or text me on 07803 258902

Hi Ben,

we're mostly ok now at Whitlenge HQ due to the kindness of Beacon members...although it would be useful to have you as a late stand-by in case of Covid pull-outs...alternatively our only possible help would be in Evesham at Raphael's café from 11:00 - 13:30 to help out Simon as this gets pretty busy. Is that possible?

Free lunch is the tempter....

So thanks to those who have stepped up to help...we have the following volunteers

2 to help out at the car park (07:50-09:00) and to ensure safe passage at the turn onto the A442 from the HQ- Andy Wrightson and Neil Evanson

Morning support at HQ: (07:50 - 09:30) - John Williams, Helen Jamieson, myself and one other required
Afternoon support at HQ: (12:30-16:30) - John Williams, Neil Orchard, myself and Dave Cole.

To man the control at Upton-on-Severn (Stables tea room 10:15-14:30) - Mark Rigby
To man the control at Evesham (Raphaels 10:15-14:30) - Simon Woodward plus one other would be good

Ben Low is first reserve at the HQ for any volunteer pull-outs due to Covid.

See you there

Phil
