If that is the final route then it could have a small influence on the final overall.

I looked at these, interesting, but what was even more interesting was a link, is that what you call them, to a report of speeding cyclists in the London area.

In this, one, George B by name has, here I quote, averaged over 41 mph on the South Circular near Barnes.

The question is What are you on George and can I have some please ?

I'd better be careful, then. Last Sunday, Strava had me tagged at 622kph in Warwick town centre.

I think the guy using the protractor on Jenkin road (2nd part, near bottom of page) might have misinterpreted the percentages used in gradients on roads (unless I have). Isn't a angle of 30 degrees indicative of a hill at 1 in 1.732 (sq root of 3), or about 58%?? If so that's just ridiculous.

PS I don't think the angle's anywhere near 30 degrees. Closer to 20 or about 1 in 3, as he actually states. (Disclaimer - all maths done in my head; I can't be bothered with a calculator or protractor.)

Yes, he seems to be under the impression that a 1 in 1 slope is vertical. If that were the case, I think I'd quit cycling.

How about a club run to jenkin road then, theirs only one way to find out if he has got his calculation wrong
