Haha yeah saw that! Bit of a shame as if he could've kept up with Nibali (tough, but easier with a working bike) he might've won it. Still makes him ever more hungry for victories maybe?

I can't see this helping with sales of electronic gearing, bad news for Brad but disaster for the marketing people.

i agree it's a shame for Brad as I was hoping to see how his 'explosive climbing training was working and was looking forward to a Nibali/ Wiggins showdown. One of the main qualities/ attarctions of bikes is there is simplicity. When you start adding electronics to it I feel the point is lost and complications like breakdowns are almost inevitable. Maybe I'm just a Luddite and to be honest I've never ridden a bike with electronic gears so maybe i don't know what I missing. Let's hope for a good showing for Brad in the Giro d'Italia.

If anyone has seen the clip, he could do with working on his bike-throwing technique. This is how it's done: http://youtu.be/mIW1MAvyPD4.

I kind of agree with Kev on this one. Wiggins rode last year with a standard groupset........!!!!!
There seems to be a lot of extra work that needs to be done to maintain an electronic set up, charging after use, if faults develop it needs diagnostics, battery packs and leads... no thanks!
Laurence, that IS the way to chuck your bike!!!

Millar certainly wins the bike throwing contest but I bet he can't park it like Wiggo.
