After today it looks like Alberts local Beefeater has shut and will anyone beat Froome come July?

I'll wait a few days before writing Contador off for the TdF. His Dauphine hopes are (almost certainly) over but could be a one-off bad day, or illness we don't yet know about.

I thought Wiggo would beat Nibali and the rest would fight it out for 3rd in the Giro; as it was Wiggo may have ended up "only" 3rd, but certainly a distant 2nd, even without his illness/injury. On that basis a Froome victory in July is anything but a certainty (not that you called it that, but anyway  ). I think he's favourite atm - 3rd today was a decent effort! - but the next 4 days will tell us a lot.

Despite schlecks news, dont think he will be contesting froome, however I bet he puts up a fight in the mountains, and gets the polka dot jersey!
Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
