You've got it Andy.

1.07 Hercules
2.30 Adrian
2.40 Andy
2.48 Steve S
2.55 Neil H
2.56 John R
2.57 Ed
2.58 Albert
2.59 Colin
3.00 Phil F
3.03 Charles
3.04 George
3.05 Jock
3.07 Brian
3.10 Neil C
3.12 Rod
3.13 Richard
3.18 Steve H
3.28 Stuart
3.35 Phil W
4.06 John H

OK, this is a final call for bids. Remember, the fastest we've seen on Ankerdine during our Little Mountain is 3.12 by Stuart Dangerfield. Most of you think the leading group of pros, mid-Tour of Britain, were quicker. Hercules thinks the pros are bionic and John H thinks they stopped to look at the view half way up............... I'll announce the result very soon................

3.25 Ruth, on the strict understanding that my LMTT entry is donated to Norman Adams :D

Talk about spinning it out! It was next year's event you were offering entries to, wasn't it, Ruth?

I'm getting impatient and I only joined in 2 days ago.

Or are they still climbing it?

This is the point at which Ruth admits she forgot to press the start button on the stopwatch :)

OK, Quiet everyone................ Shhh! Is everyone listening?

Then I can announce that the time the pros took to climb Ankerdine was.............

3.11

Nobody got it spot-on but congratulations to Neil C and Rod, who were both within 1 second. As you both 'tied' for the win, I'll donate a free entry to next year's Little Mountain to both of you, should you wish to ride.

Well done everyone, a round of applause for the winners?

A relief that I've finally told you or a relief that you haven't won?!

The latter, I was getting nervous.

Thanks, Ruth.

Now for the next one ... Neil and Rod were each one second out with their estimates. But how close to 3.11 will either get when they ride up? I say Neil will be 2.09 adrift. Any alternative suggestions?

I will be determined to try and beat my time from this year. The climbs and overall time.

Good for you, Neil. I hope you succeed. What was your time on the two hills this year? (My light-hearted suggestion for your time next year was based on pure guesswork.)

Neil's times on the two climbs this year were 4.30 and 5.07 for Stanford and Ankerdine respectively.

Given that I didn't manage to draw out this competition for 2 weeks, how are you going to make this one run for 6 months?!

I thought that's what time you were going to give for me getting up Ankerdine.

Just seen the result as I have been touring in Scotland including a real hill called Bealach-na-ba which rises from sea level to 2053 feet in under 6 miles.I found my 27" gear very necessary. With regard to the LMTT I think I will be in the USA if it is on its usual w/e.

We've requested 27th April for next year's LMTT Rod - subject to the district date-fixing meeting on Sunday.
