Really enjoyed first ever look at cx. Thought great event and organisation. Maybe I need to give it a go at some point.
Joseph enjoyed it I think, although he did say it's not as good as tv or the fair!

Loved round 1, but it was quite hard work. Given that it was my first ever CX race, I'm happy that I didn't come last in my group, considering the huge mechanical I had on the first lap (my chain jumped and got jammed under the crank arm, it took me a good 30-45secs to clear it). I've since worked out the chain was about 3 links too long, so hopefully it won't happen next time. I also really need to work on the dismount/remount technique as my attempts were woeful, especially the attempt that saw the end of my saddle go somewhere rather painful (well it felt like it)
I'm on for round 2 after coming to the hill climb to take some piccy's.

Round 2 was feckin hard...really hard. The course was mostly grass and loose dirt, so it really sapped the strength. Nothing too technical, but a couple of nasty dirt sections. Not sure how I placed, but it seemed ok and I didn't crash or have any mechanical's...
Anyway, here's the vid I made of the race...
