Well done Dave, turbo training in the winter next then?

Fantastic result Dave, is there a club trophy for LVRC competition points yet?

According to the rules, both BC and LVRC points count towards the road race trophy (if Dave keeps this up, I'm going to have to look up the LVRC points system to see how they compare).

You youngsters take note, a half pint of 'The Pope of Dope', (an excellent rose coloured ale courtesy of The Fixed Wheel Brewery) and a mustard lathered slab of pork pie are the training secrets boys. You heard it here. Would I lie to you?
Seriously not going that well and got shot off twice. BUT, they eased up to get ready for a sprint… it was like the old days!

Great result! So who's joining you in the next one? :D
Sadly I'm too young!

Strangely enough Tim, I haven't entered any more. This was a bit of a litmus test as I wasn't sure if I would be making a fool of myself. Given that it went better than expected I will look to enter a few more now and see what happens.

Great stuff. If I remember correctly the only conversation I had with him, Jon Rice started racing bikes when he was over 40 and made 2nd cat and it made me think, as I was aged 29 at the time, that I wasn't too old and I'd better give some races a go! So hopefully your brilliance will inspire some others to join in! I also met a guy when doing my coaching course who had found cycling late when he was over 20 stone and was now 8 stone lighter and racing lvrc. I believe in many ways they can be tougher than BC races as everyone there knows what they are doing!
