Omg, I live near there and even that's too cryptic for me!

I'll ask Carolyn to knock on for me.... Failing that I'll just look for the random lights in the park!

Another excellent Beacon Cyclocross session this evening. Big thanks to Gary and all the folks who made it. We're pencilling in Thursday for next week's session where we're hoping to focus on some particular skills. Hope to see you all at the race on Sunday, this week we're at Baggeridge Country Park. Will it be dry yet again ?

So it's £18 and you just enter on the day.

Look at this page for the events and event details tab for info about signing on.

http://www.wmccl.co.uk/events.html

Come next July or August enter the league, it's only £10, then that way you are guaranteed a spot and can just turn up to collect your timing chip as you get your number for whole season.

It's recommended to get there as early as you can to sign on if not registered in the league (I got there at 10.30 and already a lot had signed on before me) as there's over 700 registered for the league across all the different categories and so in the mens I think it's capped at around 160-200 depending on the venue.

If you are 18-49 you race in the senior mens at 2.15, the seniors go off first then about 90 seconds later the 40-49s go. If you are over 50 you go in the Vet 50+ and the senior women go off 90 seconds after. There are youth and junior races too from under 8 upwards. The race times are same every week.

I did my first one last week and loved it so definitely go for it. Nic Vipond is the new Beacon Cross Captain and will be there on Sunday, he gave me great advice on prep and kit in the lead up. If on Facebook post this question on Beacon Roads Cycling Club group too to see who is racing on Sunday as often people respond quicker on there. Are you a Beacon member and have kit? I'm sure someone or I can lend your a jersey if you don't have one and want one.
