WMCCL Round 11 and Regional Championships - Worcester Lakeside Campus

Just two from Beacon braved the sub-zero temperatures and headed out to Holt for the West Midlands Regional Championships.
And were rewarded with a lovely still and sunny day.
For the younger ones, a very tough course for the 6 and 8 year olds was identical to the Under 10's, and proved to be very manageable for them, with the ground remaining frozen and the short climbs causing few problems with grip. A very short race (no idea why) with only 2 full laps, and the winners finishing in just over 7 minutes.
Matthew (not Mattew!) representing Beacon had a good start this time, and came in 10th in the race out of 27 finishers, 9th for his category and presumably 7th for WM, with two faster riders from Halfren CC.
Steve Croggan came in 35th in the Vet 50 race. Presumably the ground had started to cut up by this time?
