While in the Cafe/ shop at Feckenam today a lady seeing the kit, informed that her sister was a former Beacon member many moons ago. Her name was/is Nancy Lamb any body know her? before my time with the club I think

The name Nancy Lamb doesn't ring a bell with me. However, Jack and Jean Clements' daughter Avril became Avril Lamb when she married. Probably just coincidence, but possibly there's a link of some kind. Alan Nicholls, Tony Webb, Mavis Williams or someone like that might know.

I met the Nancy Lamb a few years ago. She was a prolific racer in her youth but not with the Beacon. Her son, who was as an associate with my university department, was an enthusiastic time trial rider on the local scene until relatively recently. Nancy was one of the founders behind the Feckenham Village Shop and lived in the former watermill down the road from the shop.
