Over the years, I've heard a handful of stories like this one (from 2017). But in half a century it hadn't happened to me.
...until yesterday.
Slightly disconcerting when one moment you're daydreaming you're in the Tour, and the next you're in The Birds!

A month ago I had a chunk taken out of my backside during an MTB ride at Hopton Castle by an angry Reeves Pheasant. It hurt.

Haha! A new one on me, Phil. My main problem with pheasants is not running the bloody things over.

It's strange they see cyclists as a threat, when has a cyclist (or anything resembling a cyclist) ever raided a buzzard nest?
