Importance of carrying ID

This afternoon in Drayton, a cyclist was witnessed collapsing into the verge off his bike in a state of unconsciousness. Neil Lynch and I were supporting the emergency services with traffic management. The victim required an air ambulance and is serious a cause for serious concern. He was in a serious state.

He carried no identity whatsoever; no phone, no ID tag, no bank cards, nothing in his saddle bag and no water mark on the bike frame. I was able to give a long-shot lead to the Police on the basis of his team kit. Hopefully he will regain consciousness and the Police are successful in their search.

As a plea to anyone going out. Please carry an ICE 'In-Case-of-Emergency' tag and the usual ID material such as a phone which possesses your ICE details, etc.
