Take a Beacon bottle - I mean 'bidon' - on holiday with you and post photos here.

The new one from the 2011 Audax is too narrow for the bottle cage alas.

I think you mean the cage is too big for the beautiful slim bottle.

Unfortunately, I will now have to temporarily withdraw from this thread as I left the bottle exactly where you see it in the photo.

... unless George sees this, and has any of the 2009/2010 design left, and has room in his bag for one.

Oh well, worth a try.

Couldn't you just go back and fetch it?

Gutted !

Fully intended to take my Cotswold Audax 'Bidon' to Paris with me this weekend and take a photo of it in front of the Arc de Triomphe and i forgot to pack it !

Still there was a little cycle race on sunday down the The Avenue des Champs-Élysées that I got to watch.

Never mind, Pat. The good intention was there.

Quite frankly, I am disappointed. With Beaconites crawling all over the mountains of Europe, I would have expected at least one photo on here by now.

Could it be that the 'normal size' pre-2011 bidon is now so valuable everyone is keeping them at home to put on eBay at a later date.

In the summer I don't venture out with less than 750ml even in England let alone up a mountain!

2 bottle cages?

On any ride worth a photo I'd have 2x750

Great fun pictures featuring Beacon Bottles!

I suggest a photo competition showing the most imaginative, scenic or otherwiise, fun 'placing' of this attractive club ware!

Incidentally, are there any spares for sale?

 If any of you go on a long club run to Christchurch, South Island New Zealand, pop in to the local Museum, there should be a Beacon Anniversary mug on display, Wot I donated a few years back!

This is on the seafront at Whitehaven, and I love the slogan that was on the sign at the entrance.

I wasn't forgetting it for a second year , after the Audax I left the Bottle in the boot of the Car for this very reason.

Quite bizarre seeing my photo traveling so widely. I'd like to change places with it, please. :D

Pat's photo is probably the winner so far.

Just been away for the week to Devon, Dorset and Somerset. Went to Weymouth then along the coast to Woodbury near Exeter then up to Brean and back home. Some monster hills along the coast but scenic. Picked a nice week for it.
