Personal Locator Beacons

Post by Philip Whiteman » 24 Oct 2013 13:55

This is not quite a cycling question but there are a number of hill walkers in the Club.

Does anyone have any experience on the purchase, rather than use, of Personal Locator Beacons?

My distress flares have reached the end of their use-by date and I possess no intention of replacing them due the problem of disposal. I am looking at purchasing this newly legalised form of distress beacon instead but it is quite a costly exercise.

You could always take them up to Villa Park.
