Car stereo upgrade

Post by slogfester » 27 Nov 2013 11:54

VERY off-topic, but my excuse is I don't know Brum very well and the last time I did this was when I was 18!

Can someone recommend a local business that will select and and install a new car stereo in my 2006 Ford Fiesta. Don't want anything fancy, but do need bluetooth (for music and hands free) and digital radio.

The problem is the existing unit does not even have a 3.5mm input jack that I could at least pipe music and navigation instructions through. And I'd love to get BBC radio 6

I think Halfords do this sort of thing, but does their apparent bicycle mechanical crapiness extend to car radios?

Thanks

Barry

Barry.

My son just fitted what seems to be similar spec - and from Halfords, I think ... Seems pleased with it, says it's better than fitted to Land Rovers. Can't validate that claim but as he works for JLR can't refute it either. Will find out what model when I see him and post later.

Just got details from the boy - Alpine CDE136BT at £209. Seems to be no complaints so far.
