Nasty fall

Post by GrahamGamblin » 14 Jan 2017 19:10

Was looking forward to my first club run of 2017 tomorrow but took a tumble on the way home from work last night. Handlebar clipped a bollard and I hit the ground hard. Couple of hours in A+E, cracked ribs, bruised hip, and new helmet and jacket required. Feeling a bit sorry for myself but I guess it could have been worse. Now hoping I can make the audax in February rather than the B run tomorrow.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that Graham. I hope you recover soon and don't loose too much sleep when attempting to roll over in bed at night.

Bad luck Graham - hope the bike's OK and that you mend soon.

Back on the bike, albeit just riding to work and easy sessions on the turbo for now. Still a bit painful to breathe deeply or push hard, so no big hills for a bit!
