Short term room let

Post by JessRJ » 05 Apr 2017 20:28

Hi

Does anyone have any experience of places in Birmingham that offer short term (3 months) lets? Either a room in a shared house, or a 1 bed flat, or serviced apartment type place. A lady from our team in India is over for 3 months from May-July and has asked me for advice on where to stay. She has been given a budget of around £600-700 a month for rent (which I think should get her somewhere pretty nice!) Does anyone who works at Birmingham uni have experience of this with visiting students etc?

I'll try the usual google etc, but thought I would check on here first to see if anyone has some useful tips :)

Jess

There's at least one retired lecturer from the department I work in who rents out a spare room to overseas students. I think his house is near the station in Kings Norton, so it would be convenient for Bournville. I'll check to see if it's available and get back to you, and will also have a think to see if I know anyone else at the university who would know of places.

Didn't Toby post something about a spare room?
