Consultation on Bath Row 'bus gate"

Post by Dave Cox » 17 Mar 2018 23:11

There is a consultation out until March 21st on City Centre Road Improvements. These are designed to smooth the flow of bus traffic in the City Centre which is generally a good thing. However the Birmingham City Council and the West Midlands Combined Authority have neglected their own commitments to improving conditions for cyclists. In particular as Chris Lowe Chair of Push Bikes shows they have designed a "bus gate" in Bath Row which is likely to be inconvenient and dangerous for cyclists. They have also missed an opportunity to create a contra-flow on Cambridge St.

Follow this link for more detail. If you agree please tell the Combined Authority before March 21st to think again and demonstrate their commitment to their own West Midlands Cycling Charter.
