New helmet

Post by Ringo » 21 Jan 2009 21:23

I'm currently in the market for a new racing helmet and just thought i'd see if anyone had any suggestions for anything suitable.

I've got a bit of birthday money to burn and have been looking at the Specialized S-Works 2D.

Has anyone had any experiance with specialized helmets in the past or can anyone reccomend another one to me to have a look at?

cheers

you mean the Ionis? Yeah, it's nice. But i've got a giro at the moment and want something a bit different. I don't think it comes in red. Everyone has a giro helmet :D

I have the Specialized 2D Lid - it's extremely light and comfy, so much so it doesn't feel like you're really wearing one.
You can still pick up the '08 model, in red.
I think the S-Works came in a nice red & black combo, and I'm sure I've seen a Beaconite sporting one.

Looks like they've head butted an abandoned wasps nest!!

On the subject of helmets I need to get one of those wierd, pointy ones for use in TT's.
Any recommendations??

 Last week they had some helmets in International Stock in Kings Heath. Don't know what make they were, but in the past they have had Giro and Lmet. Usually cheaper than elsewhere.
