Can anyone recommend any good 700c commuting tyres. Preferably 25 width. I need something with good **flat** protection.
I miss number 43.

I run Schwalbe Marathons on my commuter & would buy them again - the Marathon Plus has even better f**t resistance... but I gather they're a dog to fit.

Marathon Race seem to work well on my winter bike - they are tough and to my mind feel good as well.

I ran Marathon Plus (26 x 1.75) on my mtb/touring bike for 4500 km tour of central europe last year. 45 kg (bike+ luggage). On and off road. Not one **flat** and hardly any wear :)
But, they are heavy and slow and are not great when banked over on a fast descent.

the bontrager hardcases are pretty tough. we cut a section of one and to show the kevlar strip to customers which so far i haven't been able to stap through with a papaerclip

I use the Continental Ultra Gotor Duraskins throughout the winter months.

Made the switch to 25's too this year and it's amazing how much more comfy they are to ride on.
Nice and grippy too.
Oh, and so far, never punktured!
