I am going to repair, rebuild and kick back in to life my old Dawes Response road bike when I have the time, really as second, winter and turbo trainer bike.
Does anyone know of a local frame builder or repairer? the lug connecting the head and down tube has fractured, so I'm hoping that it may be just a case of brazing in a new lug?
It was fitted with Shimano Biopace chainrings when new, but these have been replaced along the way with conventional ones. Does anyone use or recommend Biopace rings? why?, I can't say I noticed a difference really, and I am not even sure they are still available?
