Sunrise and GPS - help anyone?

Post by Dave Cox » 17 Feb 2012 12:57

Tried to download route to Garmin using Bike Toaster and garmin communicator but got this message

"Read access violation at data address 0x0, program address 0x088CBA3E. SubId: 0x088CBA3E

Devices: Edge 800 (Unit ID 38...010C104300 (H:\)"

Anyone know what this means and how to get round it??

I will use the paper cue sheet of course but it will get wet!!!

Sounds like a Garmin software problem. You could try this alternative method.
Bike Route Toaster > Summary page - Download To File - gpx (course.gpx)
Dowload and install EasyGPS (free) software from http://www.easygps.com
plug your GPS into your PC
In EasyGPS:
File > Open > course.gpx
GPS > Send to GPS

Thanks Andy. I think it's solved. I was following instruction to use tcx rather than gpx which seems to work with the Edge 800. Easy GPS looks good though.
