You might need an extra spacer because I think the 10spd cassettes are a fraction narrower than the 9spd ones (contrary to what intuition might suggest). You'll soon know - if you can't tighten up the lockring enough to stop the sprockets from rattling.

Good point - and I had some difficulty finding a bike shop that could sell me one on the basis that "they only come with new cassettes"...

Surely the answer depends on the make of cassette?
