Turbo trainer?
Any recommendations? Maybe looking at tacx sartori pro at decathlon it's £150 and includes mat, training DVD and front wheel block. Can anyone tell me does this type of trainer wear the rear tyre? Was hoping to avoid getting a training tyre/wheel. Thanks, tim

On the flip side, I would 100% recommend using a proper specific turbo tyre, as it is a much softer compound, and will therefore not require as much tension between the tyre and the turbo trainer shaft.
Two advantages here:-
1) With less friction it 'rolls' much better and feels more realistic to riding on the road.
2) With less friction, you will not wear out tyre, even the softer compound turbo tyre.
I agree its a bit of money to fork out, but it is worth the additional expense.
As for turbo trainers, I would recommend the Tacx Flow, bit more money than you want to spend, but e-bay is your friend.
Better still, get yourself some rollers instead, much more "fun".........

"You only need two tools: WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape"
