The Continental inner tubes I use are 102 g and cost £3.99 each, and give excellent service. The idea of spending £81 on 2 tubes to save 148g, or the mass of a banana, is ludicrous.

I wonder how "they provide a much better rolling resistance" ? Surely the issues of friction and opposing forces don't apply, they are not moving relative to or against another object, unlike a tyre against the road surface for example.

I think that amount of money would be better spent on good quality tyres instead.

It's all about rotational weight, they are probably worth a lot more than the advertised weight, but at a price...If you would actually notice is a different matter.
