I remember a speed record attempt that took place on the M42 just before it was opened. The bike used a Jag XJ6 as windbreak.

Dave LeGrys - he lives a few miles from where I do in Essex. It was a Rover SD1 i think though not a Jag?

Which is probably why it wasnt fast enough to keep ahead of the bike!
