Lights

Post by Between Peaks » 16 Oct 2013 18:15

I came across this http://www.torchythebatteryboy.com/p/bi ... e.html?m=0 earlier - thought it might be useful for anyone thinking of spending silly money on 'big name' lights :)

This test, which Alan posted a while back, is also worth a read prior to spending lots of money on lights.

Good survey and possibly more subjective than the link I posted (i.e. MTBR don't sell lights . . . )

Look no further than Lumicycle lights

Just bought these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... OC:GB:3160

Brighter than my mtb lights, well made and at the price I'll be interested to see how long they last.

Heed the warning, may cause blindness..

No problems so far, I used them in the storm earlier this week and it looks like they are waterproof, at least.

If you have any of the cheaper LED lights from China, then you may wish not to open the following link - LINK

Thinking about, if you do have some of these lights, then perhaps you should open it!

Id seen similar reports on amazon so I went for aaa energizer rechargables over the battery option with the light.
