Garmin OSM

I'm off to Germany to see family and wanted a small area of maps on my Garmin for some local training routes.

The below site was pretty easy to use, allowed me to create a map file for just the area I wanted and just copy/paste to the Garmin and boom worked. Simplez, free (can donate) and up to date.

Thought I'd pass it on :)

I've used OSM maps from this site for Germany, Austria and Italy.

You can just download a single .img file and copy it to the Garmin.

The level of detail on OSM for Germany is mind blowing. We sometimes used it to find parks with tree shaded benches and nearby water fountains for lunch stops!
Belt up, we're going for a ride
