Garmin out-front mounts

Post by laurence_cooley » 27 Sep 2016 17:37

I've been meaning to buy an out-front mount for my Garmin for ages but never get around to it because I can't work out which one to go for (and they all seem very pricey for bits of plastic). Does anyone have a recommendation?

Sram. cheap and light. I did bust one through over tightening but was my own stupid fault!

Seconded. Sram is the cheapest and just as good. You do need a torx key to do it up, though. (A fact that a certain middle-aged man with fading eyesight only discovered after five minutes of faffing around trying to work out which allen key would fit.)

Thanks both. I ordered one and it seems good for £8. Now I just need a Torx key to fit it...

I have a Garmin and SRAM mount ... the SRAM is flimsy, slightly at an annoying angle and so low it rubs my Garmin on the stem bolts. The proper Garmin version however is spot on.

Thanks Stu. Actually, I found one this morning - turns out a Ritchey torque key comes with a Torx bit.

The mount seems OK so far with an Edge 500.

I just picked a Cero one up for a tenner. Looks ok but we shall see.
