Ladies Bike for Club Runs
My wife has started on the recent club runs with Carolyn and is looking for a new bike. Does anyone have advice on best models for a 5ft 2 but long leg, short torso and short reach (bit like a T Rex ). We have struggled to date with a fitting on bikes in the high street and now thinking that a custom build would be necessary. She is currently using a mtb type hybrid bike and it will be her first move over onto a road bike. Any advice would be appreciated.

Standard size road frame with short stem nothing in the slightest unusual about her most women have shorter torso and longer legs than men , any decent bike shop should be able to sort you out. I would recommend Red Kite as well, tell them you are from the Beacon

Went with the wife to Red Kite and they did a great job of finding a Trek bike that fits. She is made up with the colour scheme of the Domaine AL5. Black and Gold, looks really cool. Definitely use them again.
