B+ & A Ride - Sunday 8th May 8:45am start
Meeting at the BH for a 8:45am start, cycling out to the main Hill of the day, Clee hill, and back, via a cafe stop @ The Larch Barn.......using this ride as prep for the Hay Skivers Audax, all welcome.
Cafe
Cafe has been given a head-up of our visit.
As normal, we will ride to the pace of the group, depending on who rides on the day.
Groups
Due to popular demand, the group below is to be split into two, A & B+; we will decide on the day, at the BH, A's will leave first then the B's 5 mins later, similar to a Tuesday Night. Currently, it looks like it will split roughly equal.
Estimated Pace
B+ 14.5-15.5 mph
A 15.5+ mph
Route Info
80 miles, 7,300ft ascent (according to strava) Cafe Stop @ The Larch Barn NE of Cleobury, ~52.5 miles into ride, off B4363.
Clee Hill Climb (Titterstone Clee Hill) 7.5 miles of mainly ascent, 3.5% grade, 1,400ft ascent, cat 2, KOM 29.09mins.
Clee Hill
Clee Hill summit, if you have not been, as the locals would say, it's the one with 'golf balls' on top, a summit not to be confused with a scene out of an 70/80's bond film. On a clear day, it has amazing views, all the way back to Clent Hills. We will be climbing from Tenbury Wells side, so can enjoy, or endure, depending on your legs, the climb to the top.
ROUTE UPDATED (minor amendments)

Re: B+ Ride - Sunday 8th May @ 8:45am
I once planned an audax up that, along with 'The Incline' up to the top of Abdon Burf on Brown Clee. Unfortunately, the lockdown chose otherwise.
Wasn't Clee Hill filmed in a 1970s Dr Who?

Excellent, Stu...and as a fellow pedant, I'm loving that you list people in alphabetical order...I wish everyone did that as it makes it easier for me, and pleases us pedantic types.
If my legs have recovered from an adventure on Thursday, I'll see you out on the route somewhere...will confirm later in the week.

Thanks for the company earlier team - and apologies if I seemed a bit churlish breaking off at Hartlebury. My endurance fitness has definitely taken a bit of a kicking since my accident, and peeling off early (and 25 miles shorter!) was definitely the right choice by the time I got home. Hope you all had a good ride.

Hi Simon, no problem, it was certainly a hard day in the saddle.
