INTRO RIDE SUNDAY 3RD JULY 9 AM- The Boat Shack, Aztec Adventure Centre, Upton Warren - 30 miles
Posted: 19 Jun 2022 17:47
Come and join Rich Chaplain and myself for a nice gentle amble South West to Upton Warren for this month's intro ride. The destination is The Boat Shack Cafe at Aztec Adventure Centre...
This ride will be perfect for cyclists new to group riding or other cyclists returning to the sport after a break. We will ride as a group for 30 miles at a pace of 10 -12 mph or the pace of the slowest rider with a 30-40 minute stop at the cafe which is about halfway- for an ice cream, bacon butty or even a swim in the pond if you so desire!
The route is fairly flat for the first half with a few hills mainly in the second half. We can stop at the top of these for a breather if we need to.

Please make sure you have a roadworthy bike. We will do our best to help you with any mechanical issues but be prepared to have an alternative strategy for getting home if necessary. Also I would be grateful if you would let me have an emergency contact number. If you have an ICE sticker on your helmet then that is fine. You can text me the details if you want or let me have them on the day.
