Weekly Club Update and Club runs for the weekend of 24th July

WEEKLY UPDATE:

Phew, what a scorcher, eh? Hope you're all sitting next to fans, sipping on a cool Pimm's with strawberries and ice cream by your elbow? What? You're not? Get yourself organised!

Ok, a great weekend of club runs, and it'll be quicker to say who didn't lead a ride at the weekend than who did! But there is kudos out to James Bendle, Nick Shenton, Mariana and Cedric of course, Dave Cole, Paul Balfe and Mick Stanford who led another BC ride as well as doing another Dr Bike mechanics masterclass at a school fete on Saturday with Chief Andy Wrightson helping out...great work to all. George's B-ride was unfortunately ghosted, now don't worry if you post a ride and for some reason, no one comes along, it has happened to me 3-4 times and to many others, so just shrug it off, and post again. You don't smell, it's just one of them weeks.

Great to see a race report being posted on the MB most weeks now...great work Jon Bills on a testing hilly route at the weekend...Please keep them coming as we most definitely want to grow the racing fraternity within Beacon.

Kudos to Stuart White for a monumental 415kms warm-up ride around Wales for the London Edinburgh London (LEL) Audax in 3 weeks time, but more on that in a couple of weeks....Talking of audaxes, it is of course the Kidderminster Killer this coming Saturday. Once again, huge thanks to Dr Philip Whiteman for putting this on and hope to see a sizeable Beacon crowd out enjoying the occasional bumps in the road of this most pleasant ride.

Don't forget the Tuesday night bash this week, this week it seems to focus more on the pub stops than Beoley Hill, so you can see that it's organised by people with the right priorities!...and Beacon Time Trials are back, it's the 25mile Championships on Wednesday evening and all details are here:

Keep riding, keep hydrated and see you next week.
