With my family visitor away this week-end I'll have more time to lead a decent ride.
I propose this metric century ride, relatively flat, for Sunday 31st:
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/38037293
expected average speed between 13-14 mph
There'll be a café stop halfway in Feckenham
Meeting at the BH for a 8:30 start.
NB1: Please note that due to medical reasons I use a handle-bar extender, a bit like TT-bars. I use this to relief the pain of NHS diagnosed trapped nerves in my wrists and elbow. I do NOT use these to ride like a TT racer, to draft behind others or similar performance seeking stunts.
Every bike ride, be it commute, ride alone or in group, entails its share of risks (bad road surface, motorised traffic, natural elements, our or other riders' mistakes or inattentions...). This is common knowledge and we all ride at our own risk. Nevertheless if my use of this extender this makes you feel uncomfortable, please do not join my rides.
NB2: Please also note that due to a combination of overloaded bike, love handles and betablockers, I am slow going uphill. Do not expect Alps climbing performance from me. So do not be surprised if you'll probably all overtake me during climbs. We'll regroup at the top and carry on from there.

Sorry to hear that Dave, get well soon.
Not sure if the ride will take place anyway as my weather app keeps changing its mind, rain, no rain, rain, no rain !!!

Steve contacted me as it was raining heavily in Rednal. Told me that Rob too was for giving it a miss.
Drizzle had started again over Northfield and looked like getting slowly heavier. So postponed for later reconsideration.
Seemed to suit Adrian too when made aware so that he didn't end up alone at the BH.
Was still raining slightly an hour later so gave up this idea of starting the ride around 10:30 as some had already arranged alternative plans
Was sorry as really was craving for a spin but at least glad that I had already bagged up my maximum club ride points Friday
