Saturday 6th Aug. 8:00am. 200k/125miles to Bourton on the Water

Let's make the most of the summer and long days to grab another 200k this year.
Let's go to the Cotswolds, more specifically to Bourton on the water.
Route https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39526275
Expected average speed between 13-14 mph

There'll be 1 or 2 café stops depending of what most prefers and a few brief shop stops for drinks/ice creams (hence best to do it on Saturday for shop opening in the afternoon)
Meeting at the BH for a 8:00 start.
8:00 start + 9 hours ride + 2.5 to 3 hours non rolling time = ETA back at 20:00 latest when still light(-ish). But front and rear lights advised in case unexpected delays.

NB1: Please note that due to medical reasons I use a handle-bar extender, a bit like TT-bars. I use this to relief the pain of NHS diagnosed trapped nerves in my wrists and elbow. I do NOT use these to ride like a TT racer, to draft behind others or similar performance seeking stunts.
Every bike ride, be it commute, ride alone or in group, entails its share of risks (bad road surface, motorised traffic, natural elements, our or other riders' mistakes or inattentions...). This is common knowledge and we all ride at our own risk. Nevertheless if my use of this extender this makes you feel uncomfortable, please do not join my rides.

NB2: Please also note that due to a combination of overloaded bike, love handles and betablockers, I am slow going uphill. Do not expect Alps climbing performance from me. So do not be surprised if you'll probably all overtake me during climbs. We'll regroup at the top and carry on from there.

It feels like I've been slacking this year so I feel obliged to come along. Stick my name down please.

Weather was perfect, company absolutely top (a shame Naomi couldn't make it in the end).
After smashing it at 16mph for 3 hours, the first stop at Whichford was welcome:

We then carried on at a more reasonable pace though the ups and down of Costwolds to reach Bourton on the water which was almost as crowded as the beaches of Brighton

Then went through Lower Slaughter

and Upper Slaughter

Before heading towards Evesham for a quick refill of our bottles and stomachs to be able to attack the third leg of our journey, back to Brum.

All in all an excellent day out
