B ride - Hillier's 60 miles - 08:00 start - Sunday 14th

Post by Si_Walker » 11 Aug 2022 14:43

As the 100 miler is cancelled, this is the substitute ride.

As captioned, 60 miles from the Black Horse, starting at 08:00.
In view of the temperatures, speed will be a steady B pace of about 14 -15 mph average.

I am limiting this ride to 8 Riders.
In view of the predicted temperatures, please ensure that you have plenty of water / fluids and that you might consider taking something salty to eat or putting electrolytes in your drink bottles. Suncream is also advisable.

Si Walker - Leading
Keith Adcock
Phil Gameson (part distance to Oddingly)
Pete Norman
Ewan Ross
Vincent Tennant
Simon Turner
Matt & Toby Hale (met us the cafe)

Andy McGrath - unable to attend.

Si,

I would like to join you, but in view of the predicted temperatures I will turn back after the first hour or so.
If you get 8 riders wanting to do the full rider then I will drop out.

Phil, ok, it will be fine to join if you are only going part way.

I don’t think so, we went via Fairfield and Dodford.
