Sunday 29th January. D ride led by Paul (no longer BC guided)

Post by CeGi » 21 Jan 2023 14:20

1) as of saturday evening there's no external participants registered via Letsride.
2) I have a mechanical on my bike which I don't want to rush fixing tonight
3) So we end up with only Beaconites registered:
Paul Balfe (L)
Dave Cole
Laura Forrest
Colin Hall
Robert Parker

So no real need to stick to the BC guided route. While I'll fix my bike tomorrow, I'll delegate the lead of this ride to Paul.
His desire is to have a D ride slightly longer than the originally advertised 30 miles BC ride. I let you debate this below or tomorrow at the BH. Sorry for the last minute notice. I hope this will not be too much of an inconvenience Laura, Dave and Colin. Sorry again, but keeping riding my bike without fixing it would just potentially create proper damage. Thanks for your understanding.

So, all's well that ends well so to say.

Was going to do a longer ride but then at Black Horse a few of the regulars wanted to do a shorter ride, so we agreed on doing the Umberslade route but with agreement form the other riders i would leave at Umberslade to do my longer ride with Rob

Present were

Rob Parker
David Cole
Adrian McHugh
Colin Hall

All happy, i hope but Umberslade service was poor and queues at counter
Thank You

Paul B
