Sunday 21st May Meriden Memorial Service D run

This takes place in May each year (since 1921!) at the Cyclists' War Memorial on Meriden Green at 11.00. We have a Beacon RCC wreath and usually a group of us ride out. It is in remembrance of cyclists killed in the two World Wars and subsequent conflicts. There's a brass band and tea in the Village Hall afterwards if required and it is quite a gathering of the cycling clans. I will lead a steady D Run leaving Black Horse at 8.00 because I'll be carrying the wreath. We usually have time to stop at either Lavender Hall or Berryfields for refreshments before the Service. If anyone would like to lead a later D or faster C ride that would be great.

I like the idea of being as many as possible there for the ceremony
