Yes, thanks, Stuart. I would have been riding on my own regardless, so the cancellation made no difference to my riding. I enjoy seeing people and chatting at the café, but Phil turned up as well, being equally unaware, so I didn't lose out socially, either. Besides, missing the group for one reason or another is a risk that I knowingly accept; club runs *should* be organised to suit the participants and their dynamic circumstances, not to suit people like me who might or might not pitch up at the café on a whim.
