Weekly Club Update and Club runs for the weekend of 12th and 13th of August

WEEKLY UPDATE:

Great to see Ed Moss winning a 25mile Open TT up in Cheshire on Saturday...he really is bombing these days, so if you fancy a go at getting into this, we have the ideal chance on Tuesday night...yes, it's the Beacon road bike 2-up TT at Earlswood at 7pm this week. There are quite a few signed up, and great to see a wodge of the Tuesday night riders racing, so grab a partner and give it a go. Sign up in advance and please make sure you have a front and rear light as these are CTT regulations...no lightee, no likey.

Michelle and Chris Thompson are nearing the end of their self-supported LEJOG, and they've had to suffer some pretty horrible weather considering it is August...best of Luck to the Thompsons on their last leg.

It's also the Friday Ferlix this coming Friday...this is Dr Whiteman's latest 200 Audax, and it looks a great route, so go along if you fancy a tough day out, but one that sets you up the weekend. There is also another of Alan Weaver's 2-day YHA expeditions next week, this week going off to Buxton...check out FaceBook for more details

Thanks to the club run leaders at the weekend, namely Nick Shenton, Pete Norman, Cedric Gioan and Mick Stanford for a balanced set of rides with riders riding with balance and poise. Great to see...Let's make sure we have a full set of club runs each week, please...don't leave it to someone else, why not look in the mirror this week and say, "yes, I'm capable, I'm going to lead a ride and be cheered to the rooftops"

So yet another busy week ahead, so don your cycling trouser clips, and join in...riding solo yet again is soooo last year

Have a good one, and hope to see many of you on Tuesday at the TT

Phil
