Gentle C pace 62 miles/ 100k to Kenilworth. 9:00am start

Done a long ride today and Mick's already taken care of the long C for Sunday so I propose the short C for a change.
Route will be something like
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44010167
Average speed target: 14 mph

There will be a coffee stop halfway in Kenilworth. Tempted to try the Forrest coffee house for a change
Bringing your stock of snack bars and jelly babies is neverthless a wise move if your internal combustion engine requires more frequent top-up.

Any volunteer meet at the BH @9:00 :shock for departure as soon as all there.
Return back in Northfield likely to be around 14:30

NB1: Please note that due to medical reasons I use a handle-bar extender, a bit like TT-bars. I use this to relief the pain of NHS diagnosed trapped nerves in my wrists and elbows. I do NOT use these to ride like a TT racer, to draft behind others or similar performance seeking stunts.
Every bike ride, be it commute, ride alone or in group, entails its share of risks (bad road surface, motorised traffic, natural elements, our or other riders' mistakes or inattentions...). This is common knowledge and we all ride at our own risk. Nevertheless if my use of this extender, despite sanctioned by the BRCC committee, makes you feel uncomfortable, please do not join my rides.

NB2: Please also note that due to a combination of overloaded tool bag and betablockers, I am slow going uphill. Do not expect Alps climbing performance from me. So do not be surprised if you'll probably all overtake me during climbs. We'll regroup at the top and carry on from there.

Looking for a café for a stop in one of your ride? Why not use Mark's Magic Map to select a cyclist vetted place close to your route?.

Couldn't accommodate your request for a 100k last week. Had you in mind when I put that one up. A 'shorter' one suits me well actually. We'll take it easy at your pace

As nobody else joined and it ended up being only Ian and I, we were able to accomodate more easily a relaxed pace for Ian proper ride for a while and we had quite a bit of catching up to do so wasn't a problem.

Unknowingly, the route ended up using many roads also used by the Solihull half Marathon. From initial disruption to our route it actually added fun to our ride:

The Forrest coffee house was a great choice. Amazing cakes (Ian Bacon bap looked great too), nice staff, reasonable prices. Will from now on be my café of choice among the 6 cafés in Kenilworth:
